Occura inaugurated state of art, first of its own kind of vision therapy center at Ahmedabad

Occura started state of art vision therapy center for children aged between two year to 12 year and for 12 year to 18 year.

Vision therapy center treats :
• Squints (strabismus),
• Lazy eye (ambloyopia),
• Refractive errors,
• Problems with the eye socket,
• Tear glands and lids,
• Anophthalmia (a birth defect where a baby is born without one or both eyes.)
• Microphthalmia (one or both eyes are abnormally small.)
• Cataracts,
• External and Corneal diseases,
• Abnormal eye movements,
• Poor visual function,
• Eye misalignment genetic conditions,
• Glaucoma, retinal disorders,
• Inflammatory eye conditions (uveitis).

This has been evolved through proper research study, incubation studies on retinopathy.
The eye examination at vision therapy has removed the following diseases-
• Squint eye,
• Convergence,
• Divergence,
• Lazy eye,
• Reading issu,e
• Binocular vision,
• Fusional vergence issue.
With above Occura is also running a myopial management center.

The result among kids due to vision therapy is very encouraging. This does not require any surgery.

Occura is very happy to share that Dr. Mayuri B Khamar has recently held a position as speaker in Annual meeting of The All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS) , a very esteemed organization which works for cultivation and promotion of the study and practice of ophthalmic sciences, research and man-power development.

She conducted five seminars during the session, had her IC (instruction courses). She has also been Chair person in four sessions and has been judge for two best paper competitions, one of which is the most eminent award
